"Grand Alegria", Spain, Costa Brava, Calelia

 

On June 22-27, "N Studia" brought children's choreographic ensembles and young painter from Georgia to the Calelia International Folk Festival in Spain.

The opening of the festival coincided with the national holiday of Catalonia.

Participants of the festival from different countries of the world, in national clothes, marched through the streets of Kalelia in a ceremonial parade.

At the sight of the Georgian flag, the local Spaniards shouted the names of our proud athletes, which the Georgian participants responded with shouts.

Georgian participants were exceptionally active with shouts and songs while marching in the parade.

Folkloric and choreographic groups from Mexico, Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia, Georgia and others participate in the Kalelia festival.

The festival concert was held on the open stage of the historical district of Kalelia, in the vicinity of the cathedral.

On the same day, the artistic part of the Spanish festival was opened. Young paintes were commissioned to perform competition paintings on a given theme: a seascape and a dancer participating in a festival in national costume.

On the last day of the festival, artists' works were exhibited in the center of Kalelia, in the area adjacent to the open stage.

The final concert of the international festival of Spain coincided with the victory of Georgia over Portugal! We cheered for the Georgian national team on the land of Catalonia with double joy!

A representative and pleasant festival environment was unanimously noted.

Georgian dances were met exceptionally warmly by the Spanish audience.

The Spanish festival was especially decorated by the Mexican participants, with their melodious songs and dances, as well as their colorful national costumes.

At the end of the festival, the leaders of the participating ensembles and the director of the association of art schools were awarded with special prizes and diplomas.

Young painters participating in the festival were additionally awarded medals.

The painters presented their works to the jury members as souvenirs.

After the successful completion of the festival program in Spain, organized by «N Studia», the participants of the festival had excursions to the southern French festival cities of Cannes and Nice, the dwarf state of Monaco and the Italian city of Milan.

Painter visited art schools in Kalelia and Nice; They visited the Matisse Museum in Nice.
