II European Youth International Folklore Festival "Art Unites Us" in Batumi

 

 

 

🔹On July 8-12, 2023, the II European Youth International Folklore Festival "Art Unites Us" was held in Batumi, organized by "N Studia".

🔸In addition to Georgian creative teams, guests from the USA, Germany, Ukraine, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Poland, Armenia and Moldova took part in the festival.

🔹A great lover of folk music and a performer from Australia was presented as a special guest at the festival.

🔸The festival included two concerts:

July 10 - at the Khelvachauri Center of Culture and Art and

July 11 - Batumi Drama Theater named after Ilia Chavchavadze.

The entrance was free.

🔹Heads of "N Studio" and teams of festival participants from different countries were received and presented with memorable gifts by the Mayor of Khelvachauri, Mr. Zaza Diasamidze.

🔸In the foyer of the Batumi Drama Theatre, an exhibition of paintings by young and young artists, masters of needlework and woodcarving was organized.

🔹The paintings were presented by art schools from Terjol, Kutaisi, Lentekhi and Samtredia.

🔸Samples of woodcarving were presented at the festival by students of the Sacheteli studio, which operates at the Church of St. Barbara in Batumi. Among the students there are also persons with disabilities. The studio is headed by the rector of the temple, Archpriest Shio Paichadze, who is also their teacher. The students held a master class in woodcarving.

🔹Excursions to Batumi and Shekvetili were organized within the framework of the festival. The festival concerts were well received by the public.

🔸The children participating in the festival made friends from different countries.

🔹A pleasant surprise at the festival was the joint performance on stage by representatives of Germany and the United States.

🔸 The final chord of the festival was the performance of a person with disabilities, who very emotionally recited a poem by Lado Asatiani on a patriotic theme.
